This year in 2017-2018 has been Appointed as Board Appointee by President Dr. Naresh Aggarwal and will be serving as member Constitution & By-laws committee. Vinod, born in Delhi on 12th March 1951, joined Lionism in 1977 and is a member of Lions Club New Delhi South, District 321-A2. He served as District Governor in the year 1992-93 of District 321-A, the largest District of the world with 212 Clubs. Under his leadership 17 new Clubs were organized and it was redistricted into three Sub-Districts (321-A1, 321-A2 & 321A3).
He is a proud recipient of 100% District Governor Award. He made enormous contribution at India level as Vice-Chairman Lion Quest India Foundation and National Coordinator Lions Clubs
International Convention BID 2022. VK served as Treasurer, as Vice-Chairman and in the year 2008-09 as Chairperson MDCCI, the National Body of Lions of India. In the year 1996, he served
as Treasurer of memorable All India Lions Convention held in Delhi. He organized very impressive parade of Indian Lions at International Convention in Birmingham and Boston in the capacity National Chairman of Indian Parade. During 1998-2000, he made notable contribution as Editor of “INDIAN LIONS” the official publication of MDCCI.
VK served as Member of Election / Nomination / Vice Chairman Sergeant at Arms Committee and Vice Chairman Nomination Committee at international Conventions in Denver / Boston /
Hawaii and Fukuoka. He has attended Eleven International Conventions. 100% President in the year 1981-82, has been Zone Chairperson, Deputy District Governor, District PRO and District Cabinet Secretary. He has been recipient of “Senior Master Key Award” for 25 members, 2 Guiding Lion Awards and 5 Club Extension Awards. His leadership qualities were recognized by many International Presidents and he has been honored with 3 International Leadership Awards & 12 International President’s Medals.
Vinod is a Melvin Jones Fellow. His wife Lion Renu is also actively involved in Lionism and has served as Club President and Zone Chairperson. They are parents of three sons and three grand
children. VK has demonstrated his commitment to humanity by donating BLOOD 39 times in emergent situation.
