K. M. Goyal, of New Delhi, India, was elected to serve a two-year term as a director of The International Association of Lions Clubs at the association’s 85th International Convention, held
in Osaka, Japan, July 8-12, 2002. He is in the electronics field. A member of the Delhi Metropolitan Lions Club since 1982, Past Director Goyal has held many offices within the
association, including club president, zone chairperson, district cabinet secretary, district governor and council chairperson.
In addition, he served as an honorary treasurer and a member of the LCCI and is a life member of the Lions Hospital and Research Center. In recognition of his service to the association, Past Director Goyal has received numerous awards, including the 100% Club President Award, the District Lion of the Year Award, the 100% District Governor Award, the Supreme Extension Award (20 clubs), the Guiding Lion Award, the 100-Member Key Award (Key of Nation), three International President’s Certificates of Appreciation, two International President’s Leadership Awards, three International President’s Awards and the Ambassador of Good Will Award, the highest honour the association bestows upon its members. He is also a Melvin Jones Fellow.
In addition to his Lions activities, Past Director Goyal is active in numerous professional and community organisations. He is a life member of the South Delhi Club, the National Sports Club of India and the Rajasthan Parishad. In the past, he has served as honorary secretary and honorary treasurer of CETMA. Past Director Goyal and his wife, Nisha, also a Lion, have four
daughters, four grandsons and two grand daughters.
