District Governor 2002-2003
Born on 5th September, 1948 in Delhi in a well reputed family that migrated from Pakistan. He completed his schooling in New Delhi and graduated in Commerce from University of Delhi in the
year 1969. During college life, he represented the University on a Goodwill and Peace Mission to Middle-East and Eastern European Universities. He is running a Banquet Hall in the name of “Junction 36″ at Karol Bagh, New Delhi and is also engaged in export of ready made Garments. With his dedication and zeal to serve the society, Lion Subhash Batra joined Lionism in October, 1975 through Lions Clubs Delhi East, the oldest Club in the District. He has held different positions of great responsibilities in the Club. He was unanimously nominated President of Lions Club Delhi East during the Lionistic year 1983-84. At District level also, he has worked with various District Governors as ZMA, Deputy Cabinet Secretary, Zone, District P.R.O. Distict Chairman Sight First, Editor-in-chief and Special Secretary Newsletter ‘Prerna” and received great appreciation from all District Governors with whom he worked. In the year 1999-2000, he was nominated
as Multiple P.R.O., in Multiple District 321. He has proved his capabilities and intrinsic qualities of leadership to the satisfaction of all. In his Lionistic career, he has won many laurels to his credit. He is recipient of 5 International President’s Appreciation Certificates, 5 International President’s Pins, 6 International Directors Pins & International Leadership Medal. Lion Subhash Batra was elected to the office of Vice District Governor for the year 2001-2002 and crowned his Lionistic course by rising to the office of District Governor of District 321-A2 for the Lionistic year 2002-2003.
He has been elected as Vice Multiple Council Chairman for 2003-2004. Lion Subhash Batra is happily married to Lady Lion Latika Batra and is blessed with one son and two daughters. Lady Lion Latika Batra is a source of inspiration to Lion Subhash Batra. In addition to his Lionistic activities, Lion Subhash Batra is associated with various other social organizations, such as International Punjabi Society & Rajasthani Academy. He is the permanent trustee of Lions Hospital & Research Centre, New Delhi and had been a member of its Managing Committee for two years.
He is a permanent trustee of Vidya Bharti School, Delhi and a member of its Managing Committee. He is also permanent trustee of Lakshmi Narayan Mandir, Karol Bagh and member of its Managing Committee.
